Technology has opened up the door enabling us to work remotely no matter where you are located in the world. Online Hypnotherapy means that you can receive a similar personalised hypnotherapy sessions via Skype, Facetime or Zoom.

How Does Online Hypnosis Work?

Because hypnosis is something we all do. It is completely natural and similar to intense daydreaming or focussed attention.  Examples would be writing, creating art, playing an instrument, watching movies, playing video games etc  

Online hypnotherapy is an excellent alternative to face-to-face sessions if you are unable to attend in person for any reason. I have been running session this way for many years.

Many people get great comfort and relief from just listening to a guided meditation or hypnosis audio or video, online hypnotherapy is a level up from that.  The added advantage of online hypnotherapy is that the session is tailored to you.

For many being in the comfort of your own home or in familiar surrounding can help further diminish any stress or anxiety they may feel just leaving the house. 

What do you need?

 

Online hypnotherapy sessions are simple, effective and convenient. All you will need are the following:

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A webcam
  • A microphone
  • Speakers or headphones
  • Skype, Facetime or Zoom app installed on your phone, ipad or computer

Skype, Facetime and Zoom are both free and they will guide you through the installation process once you’ve downloaded them.

Some tips on using Online Hypnotherapy

Time:

Online Hypnotherapy gives you that flexibility to book an appointment at a time that is convenient for you! No more time wasted in a waiting room. All you have to do is advise your time zone, country and 3 preferred time slots. We will then allocate you a time based on availability.

Comfort:

There is nothing like engaging in therapy in the comfort and security of your own home or office. Imagine being able to relax totally on your bed or couch. You get to create the ideal environment for you, so you can relax right into your session.

Convenience:

No traffic, no rushing to get to an appointment. You may choose where and when to have your session – at home, in the office, whilst on holiday… it’s completely up to you.

Some Important Points

1. Not all hypnotherapy can be done on Skype, Facetime or Zoom   There are several advanced therapy techniques that require you to be present with the therapist.  Children under the age of 12 also struggle without the face to face contact so if they can’t get into the clinic then typically I suggest they either head over to the app SleepforKids    Conditions that are perfect for Online Hypnotherapy are:

2. Before purchasing your session, please contact me first for an initial chat by phone or skype/facetime just to cover some basic information like how many sessions it will take and how much it will cost etc. I will then send you intake forms to complete.
3. Sessions must always be prepaid, prior to making the first appointment. You can pay as you go. For example if your session was booked for the 8th April then you need to make sure you pay by the 6th, at least 24 hours in advance.  Fee and information about direct debit can be found here
4. When we do the session I need to be able to see your hands so it is preferable to have a phone headset. Speakers can be ok but make sure you test that you can hear properly.
5. Make sure that you find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the session. Let people around you know that you will be unavailable for a period of time. It is important that you are not interrupted unless there is an emergency.
6. Turn off any mobile/cell phones, home phones, iPads etc. so you will not be disturbed by a ringing phone
7. Find a comfortable place where your body will be fully supported, especially your back and neck. Some people prefer to use a recliner or their bed but make sure you prop yourself up
8. A visit to the toilet prior to starting is a good idea.
9. If for any reason our session should become disconnected, I will try to reconnect with you immediately and resume the session. If we are not able to reconnect, we will reschedule the appointment for another time. Whatever stage you are in when the line goes down you will open your eyes and reorientate back to the present in a matter of seconds
10. If you need to change your appointment date or time for any reason, please call me on 0407744566 or e-mail at least 24 hours in advance.  The cancellation policy will apply.
