NLP

Clinical Hypnotherapy and PsychotherapyNeuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is one of the most powerful skills used in business management, psychology, sales, sports coaching and all forms of personal development. NLP is an interpersonal communication model that was co-created by Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder in the 1970s. This therapy looks at how we do things in order to achieve a model of excellence. It is possible to study the language patterns, beliefs and mannerisms of someone in order to elicit change. NLP is often used in the business world but it is just as valuable in a therapeutic setting, to enhance performance, remove obstacles and eliminate unhelpful patterns of behaviour. NLP explores the relationships between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotions (programs).

Main Benefits of Using NLP

Clinical Hypnotherapy and PsychotherapyNLP explores how we think and feel and studies or ‘models’ excellence in every walk of life. NLP is first and foremost about action. By using NLP you can give yourself more conscious choice over what you do and the way you act. Using NLP at work and in your personal life will sharpen your skills and boost your achievements. The theories and practices of NLP will help you discover what makes some people excel in all aspects of their lives, and will enable you to do the same. The awareness of how you do what you do is the key to self-management and influence. You can’t control people or events, but you can manage our response to them. Your skill and your ability to manage yourselves directly affect the extent to which we achieve your goals.

  • The ability to speak using words and behaviors which your listeners can both relate to and understand.
  • The ability to make decisions with commitment.
  • The ability to listen with your whole body in a way that allows you to hear both what is and what is not being said.
